The Center for Languages and Ecotours of Pátzcuaro (CELEP) is a non-profit organization whose earnings fund projects of the Center for Social and Ecological Studies (CESE). Since 1983, CESE has been promoting rural projects in education and environmental conservation in the Lake Pátzcuaro area.
Dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding of the Purhépecha people, culture and homelands with sustainable tourism—that is, tourism that protects local people, communities and environment—CELEP is available to help you make the most of your visit.
